In the comments, someone talks about freedom of speech, blah blah blah. It's a little irritating that people make the automatic jump between having the *freedom* of saying whatever they want - the *right* to say whatever they want - and actually doing it. As though because you can, you should. There are lots of things that we can do, that we are free to do, that we have the right to do, that we should rein ourselves in on and just not do.
I mean, honestly, I could go to the grocery store, find the sweetest little old lady there and tell her to go fuck herself. I do have that right. But it doesn't mean I ought to!
Ideally, I would think that with freedom would come a sense of responsibility. That people wouldn't just be taught to have this sense of entitlement. That maybe, someone would also tell them to appreciate those freedoms but not flaunt them at every opportunity *just because they can*.
