The question yesterday (Is the attire for some female Olympians too skimpy?) was about this column: http://tinyurl.com/6n7mcg

There was one guy who must have called at least 10 times. From all of his comments, I gathered:

he does not like the columnist
he does not like female athletes
he does not think females are worth much of anything
he thinks the columnist is fat and unattractive
he thinks that means she isn't entitled to her opinion

I got a few comments similar to that last one actually, which makes me wonder: if she were what were conventionally considered "hot", would she then be entitled to her opinion? Or would she then just be a "bitch" because if you have that sort of opinion, there must be some sort of bad label to pin on you? Something to think about.

I kinda wanted to kick him.

I don't get it. I don't find the women athletes in the Olympics to be dressed inappropriately at all. If anything, it's the male swimmers whose little speedos make me blush!

Go ahead a kick him in the....

That is such BS that someone would right such garbage to a simple question and make it personal towards the writer. I say kick him were in counts...and I'm a guy!

I believe that the Olympians should compete as they did way back when butt ass naked!

They should be required to report 1 month prior to events and be observed so doping won't be an issue either.

I know these are crazy thought, but who said I was sane :-)

That makes me think of that "motivational poster" floating around the internets... "Sexism: only ugly b*tches complain about it".

It's really horrible to think that your looks entitle you to an opinion (or not). And all the men (and I'm sure some women) who seem to have no fault with that logic. But that's really chauvinism at its finest.

I was thinking the same thing as the author, it seemed interesting that the women volleyball players are in next to nothing, while the men are wearing long baggy tank-tops and shorts.

But then again, even though he is a moron, that caller is also entitled to his opinion too. Even if he's wrong. :p And probably a sad lonely man.

It's troubling in many ways. And that there are so many people who seem to agree.

I also had a lady who commented, "The girls are so slim and trim, it's fine." Irritating.

Part of me wishes there was a limit to how many times a person can call. but part of me is interested in the people who like to call over and over. I have one lady who even tries to disguise her voice.

That last bit made me splort lemonade out... I'm not sure why that made me laugh so hard, but that's hilarious!

It's nice that people are that passionate about it, just as long as they aren't counted as additional votes ;)
