spidery coffee and dreams

A couple minutes ago, I was pouring myself a cup of coffee. Then I saw a spider floating in it. Bleah! It was one of those little yellowish green things I've been complaining about of late. I felt bad for it. And, for a brief moment, I considered drinking the coffee anyway. But in the end, I just couldn't do it. So now I'm making a new (spider free!) pot of coffee. Now that I'm thinking about it, the spider must have been fine when I started the coffee. He must have just been in the empty pot. Then he got drowned in hot coffee. How terrible!

Last night in my dream I was in a place that was maybe supposed to be a school but maybe not. There was another part where it was more like a department store and I was going to try on this outfit. But the dressing rooms were bathroom stalls and they were all gross. In a later part, the part that I think the place was a college, I was trying to get from one side of a doorway (I want to say it was an elevator but I wasn't trying to get in it or down or anything, just from one side to the other) but the place had all these snakes and dirt and leaves and I was trying to find the best way to just run and jump across. I must have chosen wrong, because when I jumped across, a large snake jumped (?) up and bit my thumb. Then I was worried that it was a poisonous snake and I was trying to call the hospital and the girl who answered the phone was laughing at me. I was trying to convince her that no! really! this is serious business! I could die!!! But she was not taking me seriously at all.

I suspect the snakes may have come from Todd catching a snake the other day. He had it in a container but I didn't get to see because it escaped. Too bad. I like snakes and would have liked to get a few pictures. But not too bad because, poor snake all cooped up in a plastic bin!

Ok tine to try again with the coffee.
