My Holiday

So November 29th is my holiday. Has been for um... 14 years. Traditionally, I celebrate by taking the day off and doing whatever I damn well please. I've missed it the past couple years. :( But this year, since I had some vacation time left, I decided I wouldn't let it go uncelebrated.

It was a good day. I slept in until 8, had an appointment with my nurse practitioner lady at 9, was out of there before 10 and went home to g-ma's. Then I spent the rest of the day there. I brought her back her roasting pan lid and some chocolate friendship bread (which is what I nibbled on for breakfast). We went to the grocery store and then to visit my uncle who has some serious health problems. It was good to see him and I really hope things begin to look up for him. I spent much of the rest of the day reading. I got to eat turkey pie and turkey hash. I left to comeback here around 8 and read a little more until Steve got here. Then we watched an episode of Nip/Tuck and went to bed. Today I slept in until 10 and had coffee and chocolate bread for breakfast. So far so good. Looks like next year my holiday will be on Saturday. Perhaps I'll take Friday or Monday off in observance. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. :)
