forget me nots

light on the birdfeeder outside- poetic musings

from an email:
I think I lost all hope of feeling normal today when I woke up just before 7 needing to take more medicine cause I caouldn't stop coughing. I think I'm feeling alright at the moment though.

I looked out the window just now. The sunlight hasn't passed the house yet to hit the bird feeder in the front yard. There are shadows (I imsgine from tree branches) across its surface and when the wind blows (this too I can only imagine, since I can't see them, only the shadows) these shadows and the light that shine through them shine across the side and top of the feeder. The effect of this is that it looks somewhat like timelapse video. That peculiar almost shaky under water-ish movement of the light. Very odd and not quite real. If I had the video camera handy I'd record it to show you. Its fascinating.

I'm going to finish my glass of juice/water and grab some coffee.

I do need to get moving if I don't want to be late. I don't have a whole lot to do really... shower, figure out what to wear, feed myself something, perhaps put gas in the car... I think thats it. That will be enough.
