Steve and I went down to Water Tower place around 10:30-11ish yesterday. We got sandwiches and coffee (and an oreo cheesecake brownie for me!). We waited for a bit and then met up with Stephanie and Chris.

Pictures were taken at just about every stage.
We went to Macy's and got make up done, then hair appointment. We went to Navy Pier and did some shots outside by the water. It was cold! Then we went to the Hancock building and pretty much waited until it was time.

I was wearing terribly uncomfortable shoes and my feet HURT. SO. MUCH. By the end of the day I was shuffling along with tiny steps and just about crying. Even when nothing was touching them they still hurt. Today they still do not feel right.

The actual wedding spot was really high up and it was pretty awesome. The view was great. The light was quite low inside and I'm a little worried about that. I don't know how they'll come out. Hopefully I'll have some good material. The officiant also took pictures (which seems odd to me but he has a system down) and they'll get those on a disk soon.

I did not actually hear any of the ceremony because I was taking pictures. Steve assures me it was very nice. :)

I look forward to going through all the pictures and seeing what I have.

And here is my "Five Questions..." video one day late.

Thoughts and details of the day:

I worked. Ok. I was at work until 1. Got to my grandma's and made some lunch, then had a couple small cups of coffee drink from my mixes. Molly's appointment was at 3:30 so I got ready to take her at about 10 to 3. As I was getting Molly in the car, Barb arrived and she said she had corn. (for the deer) She said something like "I gotta stop doing this". I told her the deer would be pleased. She said something like "I'm to the point where I don't care about the deer. I don't care about the mourning doves. I don't care about the furnace. I just don't want to come here any more." That's not exact but I think close. And I think she also said one of these days she's going to lose it. Maybe today. And I said "let's hope not."

I wish I knew what's making her so unhappy. I do suspect some of it is that she goes largely because of a sense of obligation. I've been going because of the obligation, yes, but also because I love my grandma. But more than that, I *like* my grandma. And I want her to be happy. And I think it sucks to feel alone. To not have anyone to talk to, to listen to you. To just be alone with yourself, your thoughts, your cats, your chores. Unless someone decides to come visit or call. I don't want her to feel like that. So I may not always be interested in the things she's talking about or worrying about. Her paper usually arrives right around the time I get there and even if I tell her I've already seen it, she will talk to me about what she reads, sometimes even reading bits. I listen because it matters to her and *she* matters to me.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that genuinely *likes* her. I just want her to be happy. And I do all that I can to try to make her happy. Or less unhappy.

I had more to write but I gotta go. I'm at the coffee shop and Harry's on his way to our house to give me back my car. Temporarily. My brakes are partly fixed. And my alternator (er?) needs fixing (hopefully not replacing). More on that soon, I hope. Tomorrow if all goes well.

Also, here is a video of Mikale!

Go and be entertained. "The password is sex" is particularly amusing.

Ok so I've heard this song before and I'm pretty sure it was as a background to something else. Perhaps an animation of some sort? What was it??? Someone must know!

I am sleepy. Got to bed not too late but still, not enough sleep. I think that in order to get enough sleep I'd have to be in bed by 8 or 8:30 though. That's just hard to do. Yesterday it seemed like it wanted to storm off and on but I never saw anything here. I watched a movie and then took the babies out to the sun room for some play time and pictures. I uploaded a bunch more stuff to flickr (I made it all the way through the stuff from 2003 - wee!) and I uploaded a couple videos of the babies to youtube (I'll embed the second one here in a minute).

Now it is almost 20 after 6. I need to figure out what I'm wearing to work today, get the babies their tuna and then go off to toil away the morning. I'm going to make today into my monday so that next week I can maybe not get behind like I did this week.

I took this yesterday with my new little snapshot camera. I don't like it as well as my battery-eating snapshot camera. This makes me sad. So I guess I'll just take all the cameras with me and try to decide what to use as we go.
