I'm not feeling like doing anything that will cause me to sweat today. But g-ma has an appointment, so I'm going to have to venture out before too long. No AC in the house or the car.

Heather went to a midnight movie last night so we didn't walk today. We're supposed to go tomorrow though. If it gets un hot enough tonight, I might take an evening walk to make up for it.

I'm supposed to meet Sasha tonight to do some maternity photos. I hope it's not too hot for that. We're meeting at 6, which might be too early.

Otherwise I have nothing. I've been sitting here in front of the computer since I woke up. Soon, I ought to take a shower and get ready for the day.

Heather and I decided to start walking together. It helps to have someone to keep you honest. So we've gotten together yesterday and today at 6 am so we can get in about an hour before she has to go to work. This means I'm tired! So both days I walked an hour with Heather and then tagged along with Mike for his walk with Patch. Lots of walking! Yay! I may get in better shape yet! Which is a good thing considering I have new clothes now and want to feel good in them. I have lots of old clothes I'd like to look nice in too.

I'm sitting in the screen room next to an open window. I'm touching up my pink so my hair is full of dye+conditioner. I want to go slightly blonder so it will all take better but I missed Michelle this week and will have to wait until next Monday to try to catch her to discuss it. So in the meantime, I'll make sure it's kept bright. No sense in fading it if I don't even know when or if she'll do it.

My bladder doesn't feel right. I've spent the past two mornings sweating a ridiculous amount and I'm probably a little under hydrated. I have a bottle of water but it's hard to force it down.

I have photo work I need to get done soon. I have to finish the kitty birthday invitation cards so I can get them printed and sent out. It's sneaking up and will be here before I know it! I also need to remake the referral cards I made last week. There is room for improvement and I just don't like them as is. I have to order the story boards too. Work work work. This is good though!

Let's see. I hate playing catch up but I will just because I have time and don't feel like showering yet. I need to though. My hair could stand to be washed.

Friday I hung out with Mikale for a while at g-ma's. We went down to see Betty and Sheila stopped by. I texted with Justin and made tentative plans to go out both Friday and Saturday nights. I was still feeling kinda sick so it was probably stupid but I wanted to go out dancing. And Justin is fun.

After I left g-ma's, I came home and Steve and I went out for tasty Genji goodness for dinner. Yay! Justin picked me up after he got out of work and out we went.

Saturday I made a mix cd. Tried to make two but my computer was being terribly uncooperative. Actually my Roxio was being terribly uncooperative. I think I ended up throwing away 3 cds and then just gave up. I am considering reinstalling the program and seeing if that helps.

I went to g-ma's for a bit on Saturday. I'm pretty sure. I have no actual memory of this but I'm sure I must have, right? My twitter is not helping me out with this but there is a large chunk of missing time so I'm figuring I must have. But anyway, after whatever was in that missing time, I came home and got ready to go out for night #2! Again, Justin picked me up after he got out of work and we went. Drinks and dancing happened and it was fun!

Sunday was Joey's graduation party. We got there early and set up. We ate, hung out for a couple hours and then went home for a nap. We went back at the end of the party to get my stuff. I think it was a success! Apparently people said they liked my photos and I know at least a couple people took referral cards. Yay!

Went to g-ma's after the party and warned her about my hair, since I expected to do it sometime on Monday. We fought about it. Awesome. Reminded me very much of my teenage years when we fought over all sorts of things all the time. We get along a lot better now that I don't live there. She seems to like me more. :p

So Monday morning, first thing, I went to see Michelle for my blonding. She put in a bunch of highlights and I was very blonde! Then Steve and I got a little lunch and then went home. I slopped on a bunch of pink and made a huge mess of myself. More messy than I remember it being. Maybe I just blocked that part out. Steve agreed to drive my grandma to her appointment since I was way too messy at that point. I went and hung out with Mikale while they went. I rinsed/conditioned/detangled at g-ma's and then went down to show Betty my hair and my portfolio. She liked my photos! Wasn't feeling the pink so much. But she liked my cut. She was nice about it. Can't say the same about my grandma. Big meanie.

When Steve & g-ma got back, Steve & I left for home. I changed, went to pick up my glasses, went to Mike's to show him both, went back home to meet up with Matt. He stopped by briefly to show off his new tattoo but then ran off after that for dinner with a friend. Steve and I took a short walk and then went bike riding. My ass is sore but it was nice.

Yesterday was pretty uneventful. I worked on a few photo things. Made a new portfolio special card, started the kitty birthday invitation, processed a few photos. I went to the store for shampoo and conditioner, got coffee with Steve at the Magic Bean, took a walk, and did a ton of laundry.

And now here we are! I need to eat something. And shower. And wait for Barb to call. I'm supposed to help her get rid of some tires today.

Yesterday, Mikale and I cleaned out my car. I had been telling him for months that I would make him help me. I think I had him help me the last time I did it too. It is now much, much better. No longer looks like I live in it. Yay!

Afterward we walked down to the ice cream store for cones. Yay! I love Bumpy Cake. But it was too big and I don't think I even ate half of it. Bleah.

Then we went to grandma's where he was supposed to start his garden. Ran out of time though because Mary was coming to take him to get placed for swimming lessons. So today, I think they have a big day planned. Gardening, Hallmark store, library. And Melissa is supposed to be coming by with the kids to visit today. Yay! I haven't seen her in almost a year I think.

After that, I went to get some work done. Only I didn't have the notebook I needed so I worked on other things. That's how yesterday's post happened. Figured I might as well get *something* done, even if it wasn't the something I had intended. I'm going to start on the intended something today. Hopefully finish tomorrow.

Last night I hand washed two of my fancy bras, put away some clean laundry, went for a long walk, and stayed up too late. Which is why it is after 10:30 and I still haven't done a damn thing yet.

Shower time!

Monday was pretty grandma filled. I went to tend to her critters, took her her glasses, a newspaper, clean underwear, yogurt. But it involved multiple trips home, to the hospital, and to her house. So it took up the whole day.

They kept her a second night and she did not like that. But they had more tests they wanted to do.

Yesterday I went to tend to the critters and Barb brought her home once they turned her loose. She was out in the yard/garden almost immediately.

I put some baby catnip in pots to plant at home and got them in yesterday evening. So far so good with them. I did a load of laundry (all my jeans needed washing. all three pair. need to lose some weight so I can buy more.), read some, went for a walk, watched some House.

And now here we are today!

My plans today involve spending time with Mikale. We're going to clean out my car, then go for ice cream, then go to g-ma's so he can start planting his little garden.

In other news, on Monday, I rescheduled my hair appointment. So on Monday I'll have my highlights done and then I will be free to pink. Yay! I have the dye and I cannot wait. Yay!

I need to get some photo work done. Perhaps tonight or Thurs./Fri. mornings. I need to mock up some story boards and make referral cards.

Saturday Steve and I went out shopping for a bit. Attempted it anyway. It was not successful and I mostly found it frustrating and depressing. So I gave it up and we had lunch. This was about 2. I never got hungry for dinner (this is important later.) Later in the afternoon we went to g-ma's and played badminton, went for a walk, then played more badminton. Then it was back home for some House. Justin and I made plans to go out drinking/dancing again. I got ready, went to the CU to get some money, realized that I should eat something but still didn't want anything. I forced down a piece of toast right before he picked me up but I don't imagine it helped too much.

We went down to the Mixx and drank way too heavily. As I recall, it was... a long island, 2 kamikazi shots, a rum & coke, another long island and 2 liquid cocaine shots (I think those are maybe Jager, Rumpleminze and 151. another possibility is with Goldschlager instead of the 151. baaaad either way). Somewhere in there I stopped being able to see straight. Or walk straight. Then the throwing up happened. Lots of it. I actually had to be collected off the bar bathroom floor at the end of the night. How awful! A first (and hopefully last) for me! Justin was pretty awesome about taking care of me. It was kinda his fault anyway. But he did well!

Yesterday I was sick sick sick for most of the day. Threw up about 4 times, didn't manage to eat anything until about 6:30 yesterday evening. But after that I was doing a bit better. I took a shower, then headed to g-ma's. I had stuff for her, plus Barb had called me and said g-ma felt dizzy. When I got there she was in her chair, in front of the tv, bucket in front of her throwing up and throwing up (theme for the day I guess) and that continued for quite a while until we convinced her to go to emergency to get checked out. They give you those little square pagers like at a restaurant now. Weird! The initial wait wasn't too long. I went back with her and Steve waited in the waiting room.

They hooked her up to the heart monitor, put in an IV, drew blood, took a urine sample, did a chest x-ray and a cat scan of her head. Head scan came back clear but doctor dude said he saw a large mass on her right lung and set her up for a cat scan of the chest. I don't know if they were going to do that last night or this morning. They admitted her at 2ish and I haven't heard from her yet today. I'm going to get dressed now and head to her house to tend to the critters.

Hope I can find Stranger. He went out for the first time yesterday and with us being gone last night, never got back in. He doesn't/can't climb or jump on things so that's a concern. Plus he's never been out before so he's probably cold, hungry and wet. Poor Stranger!

Thursday Barb and I went shopping. I had her help me find something to plant my lettuce in to (hopefully) keep it safe-ish from the bunnies. So far so good on that but I know I have a long ways to go. We went to Menards but didn't have a whole lot of luck. They had plenty of containers but they're all pretty expensive. We did get an idea there though. I don't necessarily *have* to use a container designated for plants. So we went to evil Walmart and bought a big green storage container and some dirt and some other non garden things.

We came back here and found that the drill wasn't charged up so we put the battery on to charge and went out to Hobby Lobby so I could look for table top easels to display Joey's story boards and a portfolio case for lugging around big prints. Success on the easels mostly success on the portfolio case. They had plenty, I'm just not sure that's exactly what I need. Barb thought perhaps a portfolio case for the large flat stuff and a briefcase for the other samples.

When we got back to the house we were able to drill holes in my plastic thing. When I say "we" I really mean Barb because she was the one to actually do that. She also set up bricks to raise it up (hopefully) to a level of safety. She put dirt in the container and I helped her put in 8 of my little lettuce plants. We put the other 4 in next to my tomato and peppers. It was then that I saw my little catnip plant! I was so excited! I tried for a couple years to get catnip to grow. I put at least 4 packets of seed in that little bed and nothing. Until now. One itty bitty plant. I'll take it though. Yay!

Yesterday I spent most of the day reading my book club book. Then it was off to g-ma's for a bit and then to Heather's for the meeting. We discussed the book, had drinks and brownies and then watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I had always meant to watch it. I think it was Andy's favorite movie. I don't know what to make of that so I will make nothing of it.

I left the door open all last night and Biscuit mostly behaved himself. He was only a little bit of a pain in the ass. That's good though!

Today I actually woke up at 7 and didn't go back to sleep! yay! I didn't drag my ass out of bed until 7:30 though. But it's progress.

I had yogurt and water and gave bread to the birds. Then I walked, then showered, then went and worked on pics. I finished Joey's prom pics (finally!) and started on some of my own old stuff (finally!) They're up on my flickr.

Then it was lunch time, then g-ma time. We went to two greenhouses. At the second, she bought me a tomato plant, some lettuce and some peppers. I planted things today! I got the tomato and the peppers in but need to buy some pots for my lettuce to hopefully keep the bunnies out of it. I had help from Pat and that was good. I don't really know what I'm doing. Helps to have a neighbor who is into it.

After beginner gardening, I met Heather and her mother in law and sister in law so they could make their picture order. I actually made some money today! The first I've made as a self employed chica. Yay! I also have a few story board ideas to mock up for them and some referral cards to make. Perhaps I'll do that tomorrow. Start anyway.

Now I'm really sleepy/tired. I may cover my plants (it is supposed to frost tonight, I hear) and then snuggle up in bed with my book club book. Still need to get it read. Time is running short.

Last night I stayed up a little too late watching House with Steve so this morning I slept in an extra hour. I'm trying to set good habits now so that when I (and I know I will) stray from them, I'll have something to go back to. To keep me on track.

I drank a mini peppermint mocha, had a cup of yogurt, broke up half a loaf of moldy bread for the birds. Steve came with me for my walk. Then I showered for the first time in a couple days (slacking. eww.) Then he also went with me to the unemployment office to get that all figured out. In theory it should all be ok and I'm supposed to call for the first time on June 15 between 2 pm and 3 pm. Crossing my fingers that everything works out with that.

Steve and I did lunch at the health food store deli. Such good food. And then it was time to work on more of Joey's prom pics. I'm almost done with them. Thank goodness. They're dreadfully boring. Looking forward to being done.

I still need to read my book club book.

But now it's time for more House.

So far my first official day of self employment has been... ok. I planned on pretty much taking the day for whatever I felt like. I slept in, had a little cup of peppermint mocha, did my monthly bill paying, looked at and gave up on a credit card application from my credit union.

I'm thinking about taking a walk, then maybe working on Joey's prom pics, going to g-ma's, having dinner or a walk at Mike's. We'll see. It is a very gray and gloomy looking day.

Tomorrow I'll start my new schedule for real. Up at 7, coffee, breakfast, walk, photo stuff, g-ma's, and then the evening for whatever I feel like.
