I took him to his vet appointment and they checked him out and deemed him not well enough for surgery. He had an antibiotic shot that's supposed to work for 14 days. If in that time he improves some, he can have another shot; if he improves even more, he can have his surgery then; if he improves not at all, we are out of options.

So if you can spare some vibes to send his way, I'm sure he would appreciate it. :)

This is Jake. There has been lots about Jake here. This particular photo is a scan of one taken with my film camera before I had it all figured out. It could actually even be with Barb's film camera, which I also wouldn't have had figured out at that point. I'm sure I was trying to make a real photograph of him. It didn't work as well as I would have liked. It's at his mother's house in the dining room. He was sitting in the desk chair next to the computer.
