well I was thinking about it... but I've been doing some reading on it. It appears that theyre legal here if you have a permit but they also seem to be rather high maintence pets and I dont know that it would be such a good idea here with all the other pets and a 3 year old often around. I'm going to try to figure out where fthe mama is tomorrow, and if she's ok. then I think I'll just give him back. otherwise I'll have to call someone to pick him up and take him somewhere safe.
Yeah, I see your point. I don't know much about them, but from some reading I did a few years ago, I remember hearing that they're quite a bit like dogs as pets. But whatever happens, hopefully he will end up in a good place! :)
well I sorta snached him up from outside. I'm going to try giving him back to the mama if at all possible tomorrow. I'll have to see if I can locate her. Hope she's ok. I was doing some reading up on it and they sound like theyre kind of high maintenance pets and I dont think it would work out well for us here with all the others we have already.
There were 3 actually (I think 2 out of the 3 are in the pictures). We built them an enclosure (more to keep other things out than to keep them in) but shortly afterward, they escaped. We smell them when they come back at night sometimes (hopefully they're all alright but not being able to catch sight of them, its hard to say for sure).

This page was posted in the www.B3ta.com newsletter in the "things that make you go ahh" section. B3ta is home to lots of very nice people but some of them would seem to have had very little contact with the female form, so please don't take offense.
I had some friends who lived in Georgia who kept two pet skunks both of which were abandonded by thier mothers... I think you end up having to have the glands that they spray with removed.. but other than that they were loving pets and very affectionate and loyal.
Yes it's true ! I saw it on the tele the other day they actually hold a convention where you bring your pet skunks and they judge them based on apperance, health and of course being cute!! Pretty cool huh?! They get really big tho, most likely because the owner spoils them rotten with food ;o) But who could resist such a sweet face! Kinda reminds me of my old ferret friend..I bet he's havin' a good ol time where he is. Anyway ttfn! Brittney
